Dick Björk

Dick Björk grew up making furniture at his father’s side in the family furniture shop in Helsingborg, Sweden. Dick completed his formal education in traditional woodworking and wood technology at the esteemed Tratekniska Skolan in Helsingborg Sweden. Later, as Dick’s furniture design interests evolved, he began to frequent Scandinavia’s leading furniture expositions to study Nordic design trends. Since 1990, his professional designs include several projects for contract and residential applications for the celebrated Swedish furniture manufacturer, Berga Form, as well as numerous projects for Finnish clients. Dick joined the JLF design team in 2009 to create the Opal Collection.

Edi Ciani and Paolo Ciani

The Topaz Collection was created by acclaimed Italian designers, Edi and Paolo Ciani. The Ciani brothers are multiple recipients of the coveted Young & Design prize for their work presented at the prominent Milan Salone Internazionale del Mobile. They develop their award-winning designs for the international residential and contract furniture market from their workshop studio in San Giovanni de Natisone, Italy. Apart from the Topaz Collection, the Ciani brothers designed the Pearl Folding Chair with Gateleg Table set, and the Atlantic Steamer for Jensen Leisure Furniture.

Povl Eskildsen

Povl Eskildsen gained interest and experience from the family’s furniture factory in the 60s and 70s. Following a Masters Degree in furniture design from the Denmark School of Architecture in 1986, Povl has worked successfully as a freelance furniture designer all over the world. Many of his designs are considered icons in the furniture industry and are still selling after 30 years; Weston, Briksen Riviera, and Kingston to name a few. We are proud to present Povl’s English and Coral Collections.

Philip Behrens

After completing his Mechanical Degree in the U.S. Philip began an apprenticeship in Germany, focusing on chair design and construction. Following this he tried production and development from the manufacturing side. Philip then spent 10 years designing office furniture. In 1995 he formed his own studio, natural design inc, and now concentrates on indoor and outdoor seating design. For Jensen Leisure furniture enjoy Philip’s New Kent Rocker.

Alan Morley

Alan Morley started his career as a furniture draughtsman and cabinet maker in Brighton, England, before developing his own contemporary furniture design and manufacturing business in 1983. He then moved into interior design and created stunning installations within the private sector. In 2003, Alan joined Jensen LEISURE’S SISTER COMPANY, Alexander Rose Ltd. as their in-house designer and has developed many collections of innovative furniture that maintain the company’s position at the forefront of their industry. His latest design, the Cordial Lounge represents an inspired mix of materials that harmonise to give a beautiful look and feel.
